During a public gathering at Tilak Inter College in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath rallied supporters by highlighting the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.
He also aimed at the Congress and Samajwadi Party, urging the public to scrutinize those who have questioned the existence of Lord Ram. Adityanath emphasized the importance of questioning those who challenge fundamental beliefs.
CM Yogi proudly listed the accomplishments of his party, citing the development of highways, expressways, increased railway and metro facilities, and the establishment of prestigious institutions like IIMs, IITs, and AIIMS.
He noted the resurgence of local industries, particularly in Firozabad, and the success of the “One District, One Product” initiative in Uttar Pradesh.
Taking a swipe at the opposition, Adityanath accused the Congress of withholding ration supplies in the past but highlighted that now 80 crore people are receiving rations. He criticized the Samajwadi Party for allegedly attempting to withdraw cases related to terrorist attacks, emphasizing the importance of maintaining security measures.
Adityanath underscored the government’s social welfare schemes, such as Ayushman Bharat, Jan Dhan accounts, and free gas cylinders for the poor. He emphasized the government’s commitment to providing basic amenities like toilets and electricity to millions of households, regardless of caste or religion.
Referring to recent debates on inheritance tax, Adityanath accused the Congress of divisive policies and warned against potential threats to property rights. He cautioned against supporting parties that prioritize minority laws over national interests, vowing to uphold the principles of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas (Together with All, Development for All).
Adityanath concluded by affirming the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) commitment to national security, citing the revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir as evidence of their resolve against terrorism.
He promised to introduce a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) if re-elected, further solidifying BJP’s stance on governance.
Election Dynamics in Firozabad
In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the BJP has nominated Thakur Vishwadeep Singh as its candidate for the Firozabad constituency, while the Samajwadi Party has put forward Akshay Yadav.
The electoral battle in Firozabad is set to take place in the third phase of general elections scheduled for May 7. With contrasting visions and promises, the contest in Firozabad reflects the broader political landscape of Uttar Pradesh.
