Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has been granted significant relief by the court in the Delhi liquor policy scam case. The Delhi High Court has allowed him to meet his ailing wife once a week while he remains in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Sisodia’s wife, Seema Sisodia, suffers from multiple sclerosis, a disease affecting the central nervous system. The High Court granted this permission on Friday during the hearing of Sisodia’s plea challenging the trial court’s order that rejected his bail plea in a money laundering case. Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma’s bench has sought responses from the ED and the CBI on Sisodia’s bail plea, with the next hearing scheduled for May 8.
