Over five soldiers were injured after militants opened fire on two vehicles, including one belonging to the Indian Air Force (IAF), in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.
As per the officials, the attack took place in the evening when the vehicles were moving towards Sanai Top in the district’s Surankote area.
A unit of the Rashtriya Rifles has begun cordon and search operations in the area. The vehicles which came under attack have been secured inside the air base in the general area near Shahsitar.
