The forum also emphasized the need to strengthen NHRIs, underscoring Bharat’s commitment to advancing human rights standards.
Moreover, Justice Arun Mishra and Bharat Lal participated in the Governance Committee meeting of the APF. During this session, they deliberated on critical matters such as the Mid-term Report of
Directors, the Annual Operational Plan & Budget for 2024-25, and various APF policies. These discussions are vital for shaping the strategic direction and priorities of NHRC Bharat within the broader framework of regional cooperation.
NHRC Bharat’s dedication to raising awareness about human rights issues was evident in its recent activities. Through initiatives conducted last Tuesday, the Commission aimed to educate the public about the importance of promoting and protecting human rights.
These efforts align with NHRC Bharat’s broader mission to foster a culture of respect for human dignity and equality.
In addition, NHRC Bharat enhances its outreach efforts through monthly newsletters. These newsletters serve as a valuable resource, providing information on human rights developments within the nation and detailing the Commission’s interventions.
By disseminating such information, NHRC Bharat strives to engage with stakeholders and foster dialogue on pressing human rights issues.
NHRC Bharat’s active participation in the APF meetings underscores its commitment to advancing human rights both domestically and regionally. By collaborating with other NHRIs and stakeholders, NHRC Bharat aims to drive positive change and uphold the principles of dignity, equality, and justice for all.
