Australia’s High Commissioner to Bharat, Philip Green, underscored the crucial role of Bharat in Australia’s diplomatic strategy during an event titled “Diplomat Diaries,” hosted by the Observer Research Foundation in New Delhi.
Green described Bharat as an indispensable component of Australia’s balancing equation, emphasizing the significant trajectory of Bharat’s economy that many Australian firms and government entities seek to engage with closely.
Green further applauds Bharat’s economic growth, expressing optimism about the bilateral relationship between the two countries. In addition, Green acknowledged the sizable Bharatiya diaspora residing in Australia, which comprises nearly four percent of the country’s population, amounting to almost a million people. He recognized the cultural and social contributions of the Bharatiya community to Australian society.
