On Wednesday Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Vemulawada of Rajanna Siricilla district.
He offered prayers to Lord Shiva. The temple is popularly known as Dakshin Kashi. He also took part in Kode Mokkubadi, a ritual that is very unique to the temple and takes precedence over the others.
The devotee makes the pradikshan of the temple with a bull signifying Nandi.
PM Modi is in Telangana to participate in BJP public meetings in Karimnaar and Warangal as part of election campaign for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
However, on Tuesday Prime Minister Narendra Modi exercised his franchise at a polling booth situated within the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency. This constituency is among the 25 seats up for grabs in Gujarat, where voting is taking place in a single phase.
