Prime Minister Modi, emphasizing the essence of charity, conveyed his heartfelt wishes, expressing hope for renewed vigor and enthusiasm in the lives of all citizens on this auspicious day. He shared his sentiments via a post on social media platform X.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah joined in extending greetings, invoking blessings from Goddess Lakshmi for perpetual energy, joy, and progressive strides in the lives of individuals. His message was also conveyed through a post on X.
Echoing the sentiments, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh extended his wishes for the well-being and prosperity of the nation’s populace. He invoked the blessings of Lord Shri Vishnu Ji and Mother Lakshmi Ji for happiness, peace, and good health in everyone’s lives, as shared in his post on X.
Additionally, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked the occasion by performing Rudrabhishek at the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The auspiciousness of Akshaya Tritiya was further magnified as the doors of Kedarnath Dham, one of India’s oldest and most revered pilgrimage sites, were ceremoniously opened. Following a hiatus of six months, including the rigorous winter season, devotees rejoiced as the portals were unlocked amidst the chanting of hymns, including the resonant ‘Har Har Mahadev.’
Akshaya Tritiya, also referred to as Akti or Akha Teej, is an annual Hindu festival celebrated on the third lunar day of the bright half of the Indian lunar month of Vaishakha, typically falling in April or May according to the Gregorian calendar. The term “Akshaya” connotes eternal or everlasting, while “Tritiya” signifies the third lunar day, collectively symbolizing a day of inexhaustible blessings and prosperity. It is believed that endeavors initiated on this day are bestowed with enduring success and abundance.
