Giving an ironical statement, the US on Thursday refuted Russia’s backing of India, where the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the Washington is habitual of “interfering in India’s internal affairs” with an aim to “complicate the country’s electoral process”. Though US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller stated that the US “doesn’t involve itself in elections in India”, he is contradicting the country’s previous stance where it meddled in India’s internal affairs, raising questions on India’s electoral and judicial processes.
