Voting is underway for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, encompassing 96 parliamentary constituencies spread across nine states and one Union territory. The voter turnout was registered 24.87% at 11 am. Notably, Jammu & Kashmir reported the lowest turnout at 14.94%, while West Bengal took the lead with the highest turnout recorded at 32.78%. A significant total of 1,717 candidates are vying for victory in this crucial phase of the elections.

As polling continues in Bihar with voters actively participating in the electoral process across all five Lok Sabha seats, PM Narendra Modi engaged in an act of service at the Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib Gurdwara in the capital city of Patna. Clad in a turban and carrying a pot of kheer, Modi graciously served langar, a communal meal, to devotees, exemplifying a moment of solidarity and humility amidst the electoral fervor.
Meanwhile, violence erupted during ongoing polling in Durgapur between BJP and TMC workers. TMC leader Ram Prasad Haldar voiced concern over BJP’s alleged attempts to influence voters with central forces, while BJP MLA Laxman Ghorui accused TMC of repeatedly ejecting their polling agents from booths.
