Despite the alarming nature of the threats, thorough searches conducted by the bomb disposal squad, bomb detection team, fire department, and local police revealed no signs of danger.
V.K. Sharma, security officer at Hedgewar Hospital, confirmed the rigorous search efforts, stating that multiple checks had been conducted, yet nothing suspicious had been unearthed thus far. This recent spate of threats marks the fourth instance within the past month, with various establishments falling prey to similar menacing emails.
On May 12th, a staggering 20 hospitals across the capital received identical threats, alongside a bomb threat directed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI).
Fortunately, investigations revealed these threats to be false alarms, heightening concerns over the reliability of such communications.
The threat landscape further extended beyond hospitals, with approximately 100 schools in Delhi, two in Noida, and one in Lucknow facing similar scares on May 1st. These threats, transmitted via a Russian email service, resulted in widespread panic but ultimately turned out to be unfounded.
The repercussions of these threats rippled beyond Delhi, with schools in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, also receiving menacing emails, prompting large-scale evacuations and security responses.
