Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a rally in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, targeted the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Congress, accusing them of prioritizing vote bank politics over development initiatives.
Modi labeled both parties as “anti-development,” claiming they were more focused on appeasing their respective vote banks rather than fostering progress in the region. Modi particularly criticized their lack of attention towards the Kumbh Mela, a significant religious gathering, suggesting that their fear of upsetting their voter base hindered any meaningful contributions to the event.

Continuing his verbal assault on the opposition, Modi condemned the INDI alliance, asserting that it was against both good governance and the Hindu faith. He argued that the alliance lacked the capability to bring about development and growth in Bharat, citing examples from various regions to support his claims.
Modi’s remarks highlighted a growing polarization between his party, the BJP, and the opposition bloc, setting the tone for a contentious electoral battle.
Modi targeted the previous governments, particularly the Samajwadi Party regime, accusing them of fostering an environment conducive to corruption and lawlessness. He alleged that during the SP’s tenure, mafia elements seized land belonging to the poor with impunity, perpetuating a cycle of injustice and inequality.

However, Modi emphasized his government’s efforts in demolishing illegal structures built by the mafia and utilizing the land for public welfare projects, such as constructing houses for the underprivileged.
In a bid to sway voters in favor of the BJP candidate Neeraj Tripathi, Modi highlighted the stark differences between his party’s vision for governance and that of the opposition. He assured the electorate of his government’s commitment to meritocracy and transparency, promising to eradicate the culture of corruption and nepotism that plagued previous administrations.
Modi sought to appeal to the aspirations of the youth by pledging job opportunities based on merit rather than caste or bribery.
