Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami recently lent his support to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) campaign for the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat. He attended a roadshow in Paharganj in support of BJP candidate Bansuri Swaraj. Swaraj, the daughter of late Union Minister Sushma Swaraj, is contesting against AAP’s MLA Somnath Bharti.
During the roadshow, CM Dhami urged voters to back Swaraj, expressing confidence in her victory. He emphasized the BJP’s prospects in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Delhi, stating that the party is poised to win all seven seats in the capital with a larger margin than in 2019.
“We are receiving overwhelming support from the people of Delhi,” CM Dhami stated, “Every section of society is participating in this great festival of democracy. This time, BJP will secure all seven seats with a larger margin than in the previous election.”

Massive Security Arrangements for Delhi Polls
In anticipation of the Lok Sabha polls scheduled for May 25, the Delhi Police have made extensive security arrangements. DCP Election cell, Sanjay Sehrawat, disclosed that 33,000 policemen, 51 paramilitary companies, and 17,500 Home Guards will be deployed across the national capital.
Out of the 2,628 voting centers, 429 have been categorized as highly sensitive. The deployment of security personnel aims to ensure smooth conduct of the electoral process and prevent any untoward incidents.
Additionally, the Delhi Police have employed drones for surveillance in sensitive areas. They have also installed a significant number of CCTV cameras, especially on the interstate borders, as elections in Delhi and Haryana coincide on the same day.

Overview of Delhi’s Poll Scenario
Delhi is gearing up for voting in a single phase on all seven Lok Sabha seats on May 25. The primary contest is between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the INDIA bloc, comprising the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress.
The AAP and Congress have formed an alliance in the national capital, with AAP contesting four seats and Congress three. The parliamentary constituencies in Delhi include Chandni Chowk, East Delhi, New Delhi, North East Delhi, North West Delhi, South Delhi, and West Delhi.
The results of the elections will be declared on June 4, marking the culmination of this crucial electoral process in the capital city.
