In Pune, an accident involving a Porsche car has drawn nationwide attention. The incident occurred when a Porsche, allegedly driven by a 17-year-old, crashed into a bike at a high speed of 200 km per hour, killing two young engineers, Ashwini Kostha and Anish Awadhiya, on the spot.
The teenager, who is the son of a well-known Pune realtor, was reportedly drunk at the time of the accident. He had been out celebrating with friends after passing his Class 12 board exams. After a night of partying at an upscale Pune club, where they accumulated a bill of ₹48,000, the boy insisted on driving the car despite being heavily intoxicated.
Attempt to Cover Up
Shortly after the accident, the teenager’s father allegedly tried to cover up the incident. He called their family driver, offering him money to take the blame for the crash. When the driver refused, they attempted to threaten him into saying he was the one driving the Porsche.
The driver has since filed a police complaint, stating that the boy’s grandfather locked him up and took away his phone, preventing him from going home for two days. The driver was eventually freed by his wife. Following this, the police have registered a kidnapping case and arrested the grandfather.
