The sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, held on Saturday, recorded a voter turnout of 61.20 percent, marking the lowest turnout among all phases so far, according to data compiled until 11:45 pm. This phase’s turnout slightly decreased from the fifth phase, which saw a turnout of 62.20 percent. The Election Commission noted that these figures are provisional and will be updated accordingly.
On Saturday, 58 seats across eight states and Union Territories were contested in the sixth phase. Comparatively, the 2019 general elections saw a higher turnout of 64.4 percent for the same phase, which then included 59 seats across seven states.

With six phases of the Lok Sabha elections completed as of May 25, the final phase of voting, Phase 7, is scheduled for June 1. This phase will involve 57 parliamentary constituencies across eight states and Union Territories.
