Despite an unprecedented heatwave gripping the nation, 73-year-old Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been relentless in his campaign efforts for the BJP during the ongoing seven-phased election.
In a record-breaking 75-day campaign period that commenced with the Election Commission’s poll schedule announcement on March 16, PM Modi has held a staggering 206 rallies, roadshows, and events. This marks a significant increase from the 142 events he held during the 2019 elections. Additionally, he has given 80 interviews, demonstrating his vigorous campaign strategy.
The Prime Minister has concentrated his efforts in key states such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, and West Bengal, organizing 31, 20, 19, and 18 events respectively. These states are crucial, collectively accounting for nearly 40% of the Lok Sabha with 210 out of 543 MPs.
As temperatures soared to record highs in March and escalated further this month, PM Modi managed to hold 96 rallies, events, and roadshows nationwide. This achievement not only highlights his dedication but also surpasses his previous record by 64 events compared to the 2019 election campaign.
