On Friday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took a jab at the Congress party for deciding not to participate in exit poll debates on television channels. These debates are scheduled to take place on Saturday after the final phase of polling for the Lok Sabha elections.
Amit Shah’s Remarks
Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah commented on Congress’s decision, stating that the party has been in denial for a long time. He suggested that the Congress had campaigned with the belief that they would secure a majority, but now they are avoiding the exit polls because they expect a significant defeat.
Shah argued that this boycott indicates Congress’s inability to face the media due to their anticipated poor performance.
JP Nadda’s Critique
BJP President JP Nadda also attacked Congress, saying that their decision to skip the exit polls shows they have conceded the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He accused Congress of avoiding participation when they do not expect favorable results but being quick to show up when they think they have a chance.
Congress’s decision to not participate in Exit Polls, on the eve of Phase 7 polling, is an unequivocal confirmation that the Congress has conceded the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. It is not surprising, since the Congress usually opts out when it doesn’t expect results to go in its…

Nadda highlighted what he sees as Congress’s hypocrisy and urged voters not to waste their votes on the party in the final phase.
Nadda further accused Congress of undermining the credibility of professional agencies conducting the exit polls. By boycotting these polls, Nadda argued, Congress is questioning the efforts of numerous professionals who work to predict election outcomes. He criticized Congress for acting immaturely and claimed that the party is suggesting a baseless conspiracy against them.
Amit Malviya’s Comment
BJP leader Amit Malviya also weighed in, sarcastically suggesting that Congress might as well stay out of the spotlight on June 4th, when the actual election results are announced. He predicted that the actual results would be even harsher for Congress than the exit polls.
Congress concedes Lok Sabha 2024 on the eve of Phase 7 polling. It may not be a bad idea for the Congress to stay in their bunkers on 4th Jun too, since results are likely to more brutal than what exit pollsters may have to say. Good luck! https://t.co/8kJ19PoueZ
