Xu Wei’s arrival was greeted with warm welcomes from officials of the Chinese Consulate General, representatives of the Chinese community, and Chinese-funded enterprises in Kolkata, as stated in a press release from the Consulate General of India in Kolkata.
Xu Wei is the sixth Chinese Consul General to be stationed in Kolkata. Expressing his gratitude, Xu Wei remarked on the honor of serving in Kolkata. He pledged to actively foster friendly exchanges and cooperation, as well as deepen mutual understanding and friendship between the people of China and Bharat, as highlighted in the press release issued by the Consulate General of China in Kolkata.
