Tripura Witnesses High Voter Turnout
Tripura witnessed robust voter turnout during the parliamentary polls, with the West seat recording 81.52 percent and the East recording 80.32 percent voter participation. The elections were held in two phases on April 19 and 26, spanning a total of seven phases across the country.
The BJP’s success in Tripura underscores its growing dominance in the northeastern region of India. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the party had also won both seats, consolidating its hold in the state. The recent victories reaffirm the BJP’s popularity and organizational strength in Tripura.
