Bharat concluded its seven-phase long elections, where NDA secured 293 seats, INDI 233 and others 18.
Bharat also elected its youngest MPs in the recent elections. All ages 25, the country chose four candidates, Shambhavi Choudhary, Sanjana Jatav, Pushpendra Saroj and Priya Saroj.
Shambhavi Chaudhary
Shambhavi Chaudhary, daughter of Ashok Chaudhary minister in Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s cabinet, fielded by Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), won the seat from the Samastipur constituency defeating her rival Sunny Hazari from the Congress party.
Sanjana Jatav
Congress MP Sanjana Jatav won from the Bharatpur constituency in Rajasthan. The 25-year-old leader defeated BJP’s Ramswaroop Koli by a margin of 51,983 votes.
This isn’t the first time that Sanjana contested in elections. In 2023, Sanjana was fielded in Assembly elections but lost to BJP’s Ramesh Khedi by a margin of 409 votes.
Pushpendra Saroj
Son of five-time MLA and former UP Minister Inderjit Saroj, Pushpendra entered politics with the Samajwadi Party’s ticket securing the Kaushami seat and defeating BJP’s Vinod Kumar Sonkar by a margin of over 1.03 lakh.
Priya Saroj
Daughter of three-time MP, Priya Saroj won the Machhlishahr seat against BJP MP Bholanath by a margin of 35,850 votes.
