Tiwari appealed to the electorate to choose the BJP in the forthcoming elections to address these challenges effectively.
The electoral contest in North East Delhi witnessed Tiwari securing victory by a significant margin of 138,778 votes against Congress candidate Kanhaiya Kumar. Tiwari’s win contributed to the BJP’s sweep of all seven Parliamentary Constituencies in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

Despite the BJP’s electoral success in Delhi, the party faced a notable decline in its overall seat count compared to previous elections. With 240 seats secured, the BJP fell short of the majority mark of 272, marking the first instance since 2014 that it failed to secure a standalone majority.
The Congress party experienced a resurgence, winning 99 seats, signaling a significant improvement from its previous performance.
The emergence of the INDI bloc, comprising various regional parties, posed a formidable challenge to the BJP’s dominance, surpassing predictions from exit polls.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi secured a third term with the support of coalition partners, including the JD(U) led by Nitish Kumar and the TDP led by Chandrababu Naidu.
As the BJP prepares to navigate a more complex political landscape, Manoj Tiwari’s commitment to empowering Delhi reflects the party’s determination to address the city’s multifaceted challenges and deliver on its electoral promises. With the state elections on the horizon, the political dynamics in Delhi are poised for further evolution as parties vie for the electorate’s support.
