On Thursday, Chirag Paswan, the President of Lok Jansakti Party (Ram Vilas) and Lok Sabha MP-elect from Hajipur, Bihar, expressed his strong support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, crediting him for the BJP-led NDA alliance’s success in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Paswan stated that the overwhelming majority achieved by the NDA was solely due to Modi’s leadership.
“My Prime Minister is going to be the Prime Minister of the country for the third time,” Paswan said, reflecting his confidence in Modi’s continued leadership. He emphasized that during a recent meeting, all NDA leaders unanimously accepted Modi’s leadership without any conditions, highlighting the unity and collective support within the alliance.

Paswan addressed speculation regarding his potential cabinet position in the new NDA government, clarifying that his primary objective was to ensure Modi’s third term as Prime Minister. He stressed that the allocation of ministerial positions was not a priority for him or other NDA allies. “Today, the biggest reason for me to rejoice is that we are going to achieve this goal,” he stated, dismissing media rumors about demands for specific roles within the government.
