Three labourers from Uttar Pradesh tried to enter the Parliament complex by using fake Aadhaar cards, said officials. All accused have been arrested and an investigation has been launched.
The three accused identified as Kasim, Monis and Soyeb, have been arrested on the charges of cheating and forgery, said Delhi Police.
As per officials, the trio were stopped and arrested by the CISF personnel at the flap gate entry of Parliament House on Tuesday while standing in a queue for a security check.
At the entrance, when the trio submitted their Aadhaar cards to the CISF personnel, it was found to be doubtful. When the cards were scrutinised, they were found to be forged.
An initial investigation into the matter revealed that the Dee Vee Projects Limited hired the accused and engaged them in constructing the MP’s lounge inside the Parliament complex.
The CISF personnel handed over the accused to the Delhi Police and filed an FIR against them under appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Section 465 (forgery), Section 419 (cheating by personation), Section 120B (criminal conspiracy), Section 471 (using as genuine a forged document) and Section 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating).
