During a press conference, spokesperson Mao Ning highlighted the importance of such a relationship for regional peace and development.
Ning emphasized China’s readiness to collaborate with Bharat in the best interests of both countries, stressing the significance of a healthy and stable relationship between the two Asian giants.
Regarding Bharat’s election results, Ning acknowledged the outcome of the general elections, congratulating the BJP and the NDA on their victory. In the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP secured 240 seats, comfortably surpassing the halfway mark required to form a government when combined with the seats won by its allies. Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to be sworn in for his third consecutive term on June 9, along with members of his council of ministers.
Prior to the official announcement, PM Modi met with President Droupadi Murmu to stake his claim to form the NDA government under his leadership. President Murmu appointed Modi as the Prime Minister of Bharat and requested him to propose other members of the Union Council of Ministers and schedule the swearing-in ceremony.
PM Modi’s leadership of the NDA was endorsed with crucial support from parties like the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Janata Dal (United), giving the NDA a commanding position in the Lok Sabha with 293 MPs out of 543, with the BJP holding the majority share.
