Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the need to eradicate VIP culture from the state government’s functioning.
During a special meeting with his council of ministers, Adityanath underscored the importance of public representatives and ministers not indulging in practices that promote VIP culture. He stressed the values of “samvaad, samanvay, samvendansheelta” (dialogue, coordination, and sensitivity) for effective governance.
Adityanath directed his ministers to maintain regular interaction with the people and remain accessible to them. He reiterated that the government’s primary focus should be on addressing the concerns and needs of the common citizens.
Emphasizing the significance of “Jan Sunvaai” (public hearing), the Chief Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to resolving public grievances and ensuring the state’s progress.
Despite the recent Lok Sabha elections resulting in a third consecutive term for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led NDA government at the center, the BJP’s performance in Uttar Pradesh fell short of expectations.

The party secured 33 out of 80 seats in the state, a decline from its previous tallies. In contrast, the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance managed to win 43 seats, signaling a shift in political dynamics.
CM Adityanath commended PM Modi and the NDA government for their victory while acknowledging the need for introspection regarding the BJP’s performance in Uttar Pradesh. He urged his ministers to actively publicize the achievements of both the central and state governments, leveraging social media platforms to disseminate information about policies and initiatives.
Adityanath stressed the importance of highlighting the positive outcomes of the “double-engine government” model.
Looking ahead, Adityanath expressed optimism about Uttar Pradesh’s development trajectory under the leadership of PM Modi. He asserted confidence in the government’s ability to set new records and achieve unprecedented progress in the next five years.
The Chief Minister’s remarks underscore a commitment to inclusive governance and a departure from traditional VIP-centric approaches, signaling a paradigm shift in Uttar Pradesh’s political landscape.
