Russian state media has reported that Yulia Tymoshenko, the former Prime Minister of Ukraine, has been placed on Russia’s wanted list. This announcement was made citing the Interior Ministry’s database, although the specific criminal charges against her were not disclosed.
As per the Russian state news agency, Tymoshenko joins a list that includes other prominent Ukrainian figures such as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his predecessor, Petro Poroshenko. This list also encompasses several officials and lawmakers from Ukraine as well as NATO countries.
Tymoshenko, along with her political party Batkivshchyna (the Fatherland), has not yet provided any comment regarding this development as of Saturday.
Mediazona, an independent Russian news outlet, reported that both Zelenskyy and Poroshenko have been on this list since late February. In addition, Kaja Kallas, the Prime Minister of NATO and EU member Estonia, is among those listed. Kallas has been an advocate for increased military aid to Ukraine and stronger sanctions against Russia.
Russian officials claim that Kallas is wanted due to Estonia’s efforts to remove Soviet-era monuments to Red Army soldiers, which Russia views as a form of “rehabilitation of Nazism” and desecration of war memorials.

The list also includes cabinet ministers from Estonia and Lithuania, along with the International Criminal Court prosecutor who prepared a warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin on war crimes charges last year.
Moscow has further charged Kyrylo Budanov, the head of Ukraine’s military intelligence, with what it considers “terrorist” activities, including alleged Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian infrastructure.
