Currently, the Uttar Pradesh government is transferring Rs 1000 every month directly into the bank accounts of 55.68 lakh elderly individuals, 33.54 lakh destitute women, and 10.40 lakh people with disabilities. In addition, a monthly pension of Rs 3000 is being provided to 11,551 individuals affected by leprosy. These funds are crucial for the daily needs and medical expenses of the beneficiaries.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the need for an annual verification process to ensure that the pension schemes reach the right people. He instructed departmental officials to complete this verification as per regulations. The first quarter instalment of the current financial year should be deposited into the beneficiaries’ accounts by June 30, ensuring they receive uninterrupted support.
This move by the Uttar Pradesh government reflects its commitment to improving the welfare of its residents. By ensuring the timely disbursement of pensions and expanding the beneficiary base, the state aims to provide financial stability and support to those who need it most.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s proactive measures demonstrate a focused approach to governance, prioritizing the welfare of senior citizens, destitute women, people with disabilities, and those affected by leprosy. The timely release of pension funds will help alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by these vulnerable groups, allowing them to lead more secure and dignified lives.
The government’s efforts to verify and include new beneficiaries also underscore its dedication to transparency and inclusivity. By reaching out to more eligible individuals, the state aims to create a more comprehensive support system, ensuring that no one is left behind.
