Shah highlighted that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety of the nation and its citizens. He mentioned that the third term of the Modi government, often referred to as Modi 3.0, will elevate efforts to protect Bharat from various security threats, including terrorism, insurgency, and naxalism. Shah has been serving as the Home Minister since 2019, making this his second consecutive term in this crucial role.
Reflecting on his responsibilities, Shah stated that the MHA would introduce new security measures and strengthen existing initiatives to achieve PM Modi’s vision of a secure Bharat. In addition, he spoke about his role in the Ministry of Cooperation, pledging to empower farmers and villages through cooperative movements. Shah reiterated the government’s commitment to the vision of ‘Sahakaar Se Samriddhi,’ which means prosperity through cooperation.
Earlier in the day, Shah paid tribute to police officers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty at the National Police Memorial in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. This gesture underscored his respect and acknowledgment of the bravery and dedication of Bharat’s police forces.
Amit Shah, who is 59 years old, is a key strategist for the BJP and a close confidante of PM Modi. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, Shah secured a significant victory in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar constituency, winning by a massive margin of 7,44,716 votes. He received a total of 10,10,972 votes, defeating Congress candidate Sonal Patel, who garnered 2,66,256 votes. This victory follows his previous win in the 2019 elections, where he also won by a large margin.

One of Shah’s notable achievements during his previous term as Home Minister was the abrogation of Article 370, which removed the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. He also played a crucial role in the passage of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, designed to grant citizenship to persecuted minorities from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.
Shah’s reassumption of his ministerial roles marks the continuation of his significant influence in Bharat’s political landscape, with a focus on security and cooperative development for the country’s future.
