On Tuesday, Kiren Rijiju, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), assumed the role of Minister of Parliamentary Affairs. Joined by his colleagues Arjun Ram Meghwal and Dr. L Murugan, as well as other ministry officials, Rijiju emphasized the importance of cooperation from opposition parties in Parliament. In his address to the media, he expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for entrusting him with this significant responsibility.

Hailing from Arunachal Pradesh, Rijiju has established himself as a strong BJP leader, representing the state with dedication. His previous ministerial portfolios include Food Processing Industries and Earth Sciences. Rijiju also served as the Union Minister of Law and Justice, contributing to various sectors of governance with his expertise and commitment.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Rijiju secured victory in the Arunachal West constituency, defeating Congress state president Nabam Tuki by a substantial margin. His consistent support from constituents reflects his enduring popularity and effective representation. Rijiju has held the Arunachal West seat since 2004, showcasing his enduring presence and influence in the region’s political landscape.
Throughout his tenure in various ministerial roles, including Youth Affairs and Sports, Minority Affairs, and Home Affairs, Rijiju has demonstrated a steadfast dedication to serving the people and advancing the nation’s interests.
