On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting to discuss the security situation in Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) following a series of terror-related incidents in the region. The meeting was attended by National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and other senior officials. They provided PM Modi with a detailed overview of the current security conditions in J&K.
Government of India (GoI) sources, as quoted by news agency ANI, reported that PM Modi was thoroughly briefed on the ongoing counter-terrorism efforts. Officials updated him on the various strategies and operations being executed to reduce terrorist activities and ensure the safety of the region’s residents.

During the meeting, PM Modi stressed the importance of using the full range of Bharat’s counter-terror capabilities. He directed the officials to deploy all available resources and strategies to combat terrorism effectively. He highlighted the need for a robust and coordinated response to any potential threats to maintain peace and stability in the region.

In addition, PM Modi had a conversation with Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the deployment of security forces and the ongoing counter-terror operations in J&K. He also spoke with Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to get an update on the situation. During this conversation, PM Modi was briefed on the efforts being undertaken by the local administration to enhance security and counter terrorist activities.
The meeting and subsequent discussions underscore the Bharatiya government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Jammu & Kashmir. By reviewing the strategies and coordinating with key officials, Prime Minister aims to strengthen the region’s defenses against terrorist threats.
