Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced a bold plan to transform Assam through the completion of development projects worth Rs 35,000 crore by December 2025. The initiative aims to usher in a “New Assam” with significant infrastructural advancements.
Speaking at a press conference, Dr Himanta stressed on the State Government’s commitment to rapid development. “You will witness a surge of various projects across Assam in the coming months. Our target is to complete all these projects by 2025,” he declared.
CM Himanta highlighted that these initiatives are not confined to Guwahati but are being executed across 12 districts in the State. He assured that substantial progress is already underway, with Rs 35,000 crore worth of work currently in progress.
To ensure the timely completion of these projects, the CM is personally overseeing their progress. He highlighted the government’s resolve to manage finances efficiently and warned that contractors failing to meet deadlines would be replaced. “Our goal is to finish all the projects by 2025,” he reiterated.
The Chief Minister’s ambitious plan is set to bring about a comprehensive transformation in Assam, promising enhanced infrastructure and development across the State.
