Arunachal Pradesh’s Sangam Kayang has made history by becoming the State’s first National Level Football Referee (Level 5). The All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced Kayang’s achievement following his successful completion of rigorous fitness, theory, practical, and national examinations.
In a letter to the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association, the AIFF expressed delight in Kayang’s accomplishment, marking a proud milestone for the Northeastern State’s football community. Kayang’s journey to attaining the prestigious Level 5 referee status highlights his dedication and perseverance.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to social media platform X to extend heartfelt congratulations to Sangam Kayang. In his message, the CM expressed confidence that Kayang’s achievement would motivate others in the State to pursue excellence in football refereeing. He commended Kayang for his outstanding accomplishment and conveyed his best wishes for his future endeavours in football officiating.
