Satnam, who was around 31 years old, was working in Italy without legal papers, according to the Italian trade union Flai CGIL. Reports indicate that Satnam was injured on Monday while cutting hay. His arm was severed by a slicing machine, leading to the severe injury.
It was Satnam’s wife and friends who informed the police about the accident. An air ambulance was dispatched to his residence, but despite their efforts, Satnam succumbed to his injuries.
Responding to the incident, Italy’s opposition party, the Democratic Party, posted on Facebook, highlighting the poor working conditions Satnam Singh was forced to endure. They expressed their condolences to his wife and loved ones, acknowledging the profound pain and double violence suffered by Satnam- first from the dangerous work conditions and second from being abandoned without help.
