The Parliament witnessed a fiery two-day session on Monday and Tuesday as the ruling NDA MPs and the Opposition INDI Alliance MPs debated over a range of issues, including the NEET-UG exam controversy, West Bengal’s public thrashing of a woman incident, Ayodhya, and Agniveer scheme.
The heated exchange between the two sides drew massive reactions when the Centre rebutted the Opposition’s allegations with strong facts.
In a major remark, BJP MP from West Bengal’s Bishnupur Saumitra Khan highlighted the mob lynching issue of Cooch Behar, condemning the incident where a man and woman were publicly thrashed similar to the Taliban regime.
Meanwhile, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj moved a notice under Direction 115 in Lok Sabha over LoP Rahul Gandhi’s Hindu remark, stating that “LoP made several inaccurate statements in his speech”.
Speaking on the Agniveer scheme, Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav stated that the opposition will never accept the Agniveer scheme, adding that when the INDI alliance comes to power, “the Agniveer scheme will be scrapped”.
On Monday, LoP Rahul Gandhi addressed the House for the first time since assuming the position and slammed the BJP-led NDA government on various fronts, including the portrayal of Hinduism, and also raised concerns about NEET-UG
