The residents of the national capital are now enjoying heavy rain across the Delhi-NCR region. The rain has dropped down the minimum temperature to 24.8 degrees Celsius.
Along with Delhi-NCR, heavy rainfall has also been predicted in many other states including Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Assam and Gujarat among others.
According to the India Meteorological Department, the weather in Central, North and North East India is expected to include rainfall, thunderstorms and lightning.
Parts of the national capital received rains on the morning of Thursday as the minimum temperature settled at 24.8 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season’s average, said the weather department.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) of the national capital was recorded in the satisfactory category with a reading of 78 at 9 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.
According to IMD, moderate to heavy rainfall can be expected by the residents of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab and East Rajasthan between July 4-8.

Parts of Madhya Pradesh may receive heavy rainfall today, according to the predictions by the India Meteorological Department.
