Several states of India are struggling with flood-like situations including Gujarat and north-eastern states of Assam and Mizoram among others.
The weather in Delhi has been cloudy with the Delhi Rains which have brought down the minimum temperature and the AQI in the national capital, an orange alert has been issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for heavy rain in certain districts of Maharashtra.

IMD has issued an orange alert in parts of central Maharashtra including Thane and Raigad districts. As per the Central Railway, heavy rainfall the Maharashtra capital has resulted in waterlogging due to which the Mumbai Suburban & Harbour Line train traffic has been delayed. The affected stations are Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Kurla-Vikhroli and Bhandup.
People face difficulties as heavy rains cause waterlogging in many parts of Mumbai. The weather department also issued a red alert for July 7 in Uttarakhand, predicting very heavy rainfall in almost all parts of the state.
In order to avoid inconvenience to students, a holiday for the first session is declared for all BMC, Government and Private schools and colleges for all BMC, Government and Private schools and colleges in Mumbai (BMC area).
The decision for the next session will be announced after reviewing the situation.
