In a dramatic turn of events, Elon Musk has openly declared his support for Donald Trump following the violent incident at a Trump rally. The tech mogul’s endorsement came shortly after reports surfaced about a shooting at the event, which took place in Pennsylvania.
On Saturday, chaos erupted as nine shots were fired during Trump’s speech, leading to the Republican leader being seen with blood on the side of his face. The incident forced him to take cover while addressing the crowd. The Secret Service later confirmed that Trump is now safe.
Musk, known for his influential presence on social media, quickly took to his platform to endorse Trump for the upcoming elections. “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery,” Musk stated. He drew parallels between Trump and former President Theodore Roosevelt, who survived an assassination attempt in 1912. “Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt,” Musk added.
Further showing his support, Musk shared a photo of Trump on stage, gripping his bleeding ear with one hand while defiantly raising a fist with the other. Reports indicate that Musk also made a significant donation to a pro-Trump super PAC recently.
Following the shooting, Trump made his first public statement via Truth Social, thanking the Secret Service and law enforcement for their swift response. He extended condolences to the families of those affected by the incident and described his own injury in detail. “I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear,” he wrote, recounting the harrowing moments.
Trump concluded his message with a patriotic declaration, “GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
