While addressing the media ahead of the Budget session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called the session a positive session.
PM Modi said, ‘It is a matter of pride that after 60 years, a government has come to power for the 3rd consecutive time and will present the first Budget for the 3rd time’.
He further added, ‘This Budget is important budget for Amrit Kaal’. He said, ‘It’s a matter of great pride for every Indian that India is the fastest-growing country among the countries with large economies’. In the last 3 years, we are moving ahead with a continuous growth of 8%’.
The release of the Economic Survey 2023–24 scheduled for today in Lok Sabha at 1 pm and in Rajya Sabha at 2 pm today. The Monsoon Session, beginning today, will go on till August 12, where six bills will be tabled, including the Finance Bill 2024.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget on Tuesday. Intense discussions will shape India’s socio-economic trajectory in the upcoming months, during a crucial parliamentary session marked by coalition difficulties and opposition unity.
The Finance Bill 2024 proposes sweeping tax reforms, set alongside five pivotal bills: Disaster Management (Amendment), Boilers bill, Bhartiya Vayuyan Vidheyak, Coffee (Promotion and Development), and Rubber (Promotion and Development) Bills, aiming to enhance disaster response, industrial safety, aviation regulations, and agricultural growth.
