At least seven people were killed and 25 others were seriously injured after a bus fell off the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Etawah. The accident happened after the bus collided with a car.
The accident occurred last night on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah near Channel number 129. A double-decker bus was going to Delhi from Raebareli when it collided with a car and lost control; which resulted in the bus falling off the expressway.
The latest death toll of the road accident is seven while 25 other passengers are injured and are undergoing treatment. According to the media reports, a speeding car was going to Lucknow from Agra, crossed the net divider in the centre of the road and came on the wrong side.

That’s when the car hit the double-decker sleeper bus leaving it uncontrollable; the bus fell 20 feet below the expressway. SSP Etawah Sanjay Kumar Verma says, ‘A double-decker bus going from Raebareli to Delhi collided with a car at around 12:30 am. There were 60 people on the bus, out of which 4 people died and about 20-25 people were injured, who have been admitted to the hospital. 3 people who were there in the car also died. A total of 7 people have died’. An FIR has been registered and an investigation is underway.
