The holy city of Puri, known for its Lord Jagannath temple, is set to be the venue for this year’s Navy Day celebrations on December 4. The Indian Navy has chosen Puri’s coast to showcase its impressive capabilities and sophisticated military tactics.

On Saturday, the Indian Navy conducted a preliminary survey of the area, with Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Tripathi leading the inspection. Five warships, including notable vessels like INS Jalashwa, INS Kiltan, and INS Sumedha, have already anchored off the coast of Puri. These ships were seen patrolling the waters, giving the public an exciting glimpse of the Navy’s powerful fleet.

Senior naval officers, including Admiral Tripathi, visited Puri to evaluate the beach conditions and discuss logistics with local authorities. Their visit involved a detailed examination of the beach area, from Digabareni to Sterling, to ensure that everything is in place for the celebrations.

The Navy is planning a spectacular display for Navy Day, featuring a range of activities from air shows to commando operations. These events will highlight the Navy’s advanced war tactics and operational skills. The Navy’s presence in Puri will include a drill operation to demonstrate their tactical prowess.

The public’s reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. Many tourists and locals expressed their excitement and admiration for the Navy’s display of strength and technology. The Navy’s operations off the coast of Puri have become a significant attraction, drawing crowds eager to witness the advanced naval maneuvers up close.

Additionally, Admiral Tripathi and his family took time to visit the Shree Mandir for darshan and to offer prayers to Mahaprabhu. This gesture reflects the deep cultural and spiritual connection that the Navy maintains with the regions where it operates.

As Navy Day approaches, the Puri coastline will host numerous naval vessels, enhancing the significance of the event. The area is under careful surveillance to ensure a smooth and secure celebration.

The Indian Navy’s choice of Puri underscores its commitment to showcasing its maritime capabilities in a location of great cultural and religious importance.
