The world, concerned about the war in Gaza between Israel and the notorious terrorist group Hamas, is unable to pacify the two despite all efforts. Another attempt in this direction is going to take place tomorrow (Thursday) in Doha, the capital of Qatar or Cairo, the capital of Egypt.
Everyone’s eyes are on this ceasefire or peace talks of international mediating countries. But Hamas has made it clear that it will not participate in this dialogue. American news The New York Times has discussed this in detail in its report. The newspaper says that Hamas leaders do not feel that the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is negotiating in good faith.
Hamas leader Ahmed Abdul Hadi, who is in Lebanon, has said, “Netanyahu is not interested in reaching an agreement that completely ends the aggression. He wants to prolong the war.”
According to the media reports, this decision of Hamas is not a good sign. Despite this, it has not completely left the bargaining table. Throughout the war, Hamas leaders have not met directly with Israeli officials but have relied on Qatar and Egypt to act as mediators. Many of Hamas’ top leaders are still in Qatar, staying a short distance from the mediators’ offices in Doha.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has completely rejected the allegations of the Hamas leader. He has blamed Hamas for the deadlock in the peace talks. He said that Israel will send representatives for the talks. According to the newspaper, with Hamas’ decision not to participate in this peace talks, it is now not decided whether the meeting will be attended by top intelligence officials of Egypt, Israel and the United States as well as the Prime Minister of Qatar.
