Jammu and Kashmir Set for Assembly Elections After Decade, Haryana Votes on October 1
After a decade-long halt, the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir is set to have their assembly elections in the months of September and October this year. On Friday, the Election Commission of India made the announcement mentioning that the elections in J&K will take place in three phases on September 18, 25 and October 1. Along with the UT, Haryana Assembly elections will also be held in a single phase on October 1. The results of these elections will be announced on October 4.
