On Thursday, the Kolkata rape-murder case was heard in the country’s Supreme Court. During this, the shameful and inhuman behavior of the state government’s lawyer Kapil Sibal was seen. When arguments were being presented in this case, Kapil Sibal laughed.

The Supreme Court and the SG reprimanded him. The Supreme Court mentioned the negligence of the Kolkata Police and the hospital administration and questioned the delay in filing the FIR. The Supreme Court said why the FIR was not filed 3 hours after the girl’s body was found. Why was the FIR not filed earlier?

Lawyer Kapil Sibal said that the victim’s father himself got the FIR registered at 11:45. The Chief Justice reprimanded Kapil Sibal and said that the crime took place in the hospital. The Chief Justice said, ‘Should the hospital administration not have filed the FIR. Who were the hospital officials and employees waiting for for so many hours’ ?

Kapil Sibal could not answer this and became silent and the matter became serious. The limit was crossed when SG was presenting his views on the status report of CBI in the court, during which Kapil Sibal started laughing.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta expressed strong displeasure and reprimanded Sibal and said, “A girl has been raped, she has been murdered, her parents are crying and you are laughing in the court, you should be ashamed.”

Kapil Sibal’s shameful behavior is being shared a lot on social media. Users are trolling Kapil Sibal. One user wrote, “Insensitive Sibal. The judge is commenting on the inability of the state police to provide justice and senior advocate Kapil Sibal is laughing and making fun of the situation.” Another user has written that Sibal is also shamelessly questioning the victim’s father about filing the FIR late.
