In the Kolkata Rape and Murder Case, the main accused Sanjay Roy will be undergoing the polygraph test today, before 5:30 PM. The test is being conducted as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is expected to submit a status report on the probe, to the Supreme Court of India.

Kolkata’s Silahalada Court has to give its decision on Kolkata Horror accused Sanjay Roy’s polygraph test before 5.30 pm. Supreme Court has asked Kolkata Court to give its decision on CBI’s plea for the polygraph test of the accused by this evening.

The four fellow-doctors will also undergo a polygraph test. The custody of CBI of Sanjay Rout, responsible for rape and murder of ‘Abhaya’ at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital ends today.

Sanjay Rout will appear in court again today but due to security reasons, it’s not decided whether he will be presented in court physically or through video conferencing.

Meanwhile, the West Bengal Health Department cancelled the appointment of Sandeep Ghosh as the Principal of National Medical College and Hospital, and removed Suhritha Paul from the post of Principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

The West Bengal government issued a motivation and informed about this. According to the media reports, Manas Kumar Bandyopadhyay was appointed as the new Principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
