MP from Mandi Lok Sabha constituency of Himachal Pradesh and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut seems to be in trouble for making a controversial statement on farmers. BJP has distanced itself from Kangana’s statement.
BJP has issued a press release calling Kangana’s statement on farmers as her personal statement and has also directed her not to make such statements in future. BJP has said that Kangana is not allowed to speak on the policy issues of the party. At the same time, it has been said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is determined to follow the principles of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’ and social harmony.
Kangana Ranaut remains in the discussion about her statements, but she compared the farmers’ movement with the recent political crisis in Bangladesh. Kangana had said that if the top leadership of the party was weak, then there could have been a situation like Bangladesh in the country.
Kangana had said, everyone has seen what happened in the farmers’ movement. Violence was spread in the name of protest. 3 laws related to farmers were withdrawn. Otherwise these miscreants had a very long plan. They could do anything in the country. If the top leadership of BJP was not strong, Punjab would have been turned into Bangladesh during the movement.
Seeing the matter escalating, BJP broke its silence and called Kangana’s statement a personal statement and not an official statement of the party and also advised Kangana to avoid making such statements in future.
