The CBI is investigating the rape-murder case of a 31-year-old trainee female doctor at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata. A big revelation has been made in this case as the CBI seized the bike of accused Sanjay Roy two days ago.

The accused’s bike was registered in the name of Kolkata Police Commissioner. According to the CBI, this bike of accused Sanjay Roy was registered in May 2024. The accused had traveled 15 kilometers in a drunken state on a bike registered in the name of the police.

At the same time, the CBI is now investigating the link between the police and the accused. The CBI will find out where the accused got this bike from. It is being told that at the time of the incident, the accused Sanjay Roy, in an intoxicated state, reached RG Kar Hospital on a police bike. Due to the police bike on the way, no policeman stopped him at the checkpoint after which he committed this heinous act.

However, on the night of August 14, a mob had vandalized the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata during peaceful midnight protests seeking justice for Abhaya after she was raped and murdered in the seminar room of the same hospital.

Three more have been arrested by the Calcutta Police in connection with the vandalism of RG Kar Hospital. The total number of arrests in the mob vandalism case has now reached to 40.
