The effect of the Bengal Bandh called by the BJP in West Bengal on Wednesday was seen in many districts of the state since morning. A controversy has erupted due to firing in Ghoshpada area of Bhatpara in 24 North Parganas.
It is being told that the bullet has hit West Bengal BJP leader Priyangu Pandey. Former BJP MP Arjun Singh has alleged that a deadly attack has been made on party leader Priyangu Pandey. He told that Priyan was coming in his car and 6 to 7 rounds of bullets were fired on his car.
This incident has been captured on camera and a video of this attack is going viral on social media, where it can be seen that an unknown person is firing on the car of local BJP leader Priyangu Pandey. The bullet passed through the glass of the car and hit the driver. Priyangu was also injured in this attack. Both have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari also wrote in a post on Instagram, ‘TMC goons have fired on the car of well-known BJP leader Priyangu Pandey in Bhatpara. The driver of the car has been shot. The bandh is successful and people have supported it wholeheartedly. The poisonous cocktail of police and TMC goons will not scare BJP.’ During this bandh, train services were affected in Howrah, Sealdah, Hooghly, Katwa, Sealdah South Branch, Murshidabad and Krishnanagar. BJP supporters tried to stop train operations by blocking the railways at stations and throwing banana leaves on the overhead wires’.
Passengers had to face a lot of trouble due to the disruption of railway services in the morning. The police tried to remove the bandh supporters and by afternoon the train services slowly started becoming normal. After removing the bandh supporters, the trains that were standing left for their destinations.
Train services in Hooghly, Katwa, Sealdah South Branch, Murshidabad and Krishnanagar were affected by the bandh in the morning. Local trains were stopped at many places. During the bandh at Hooghly station, BJP workers blocked the railway track and stopped the Bandel-Howrah local train. BJP workers also blocked the railway line at Barrackpore station.

BJP workers led by BJP leader Kaustav Bagchi were marching on the railway tracks, which created a tense situation. Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress workers also came out on the streets in protest against the bandh and chased the BJP procession. The police removed Kaustav from there, but the train service on the Barrackpore-Sealdah line could not be normalized till eight in the morning.
In Murshidabad too, BJP supporters stopped the train and protested. There was a protest at Jiaganj station and BJP workers gathered at Murshidabad station and stopped the Down Bhagirathi Express. The police intervened and tried to remove the bandh supporters, but there were clashes with BJP workers. Later the train was sent from there, but it was again stopped by the bandh supporters at Berhampur station.
