On Saturday Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off three Vande Bharat trains through video conferencing. On this occasion, PM Modi said that Vande Bharat is the new face of the modernizing Indian Railways.
‘Today, there is a demand for Vande Bharat in the city, on every route. High-speed trains give people confidence to expand business, employment and dreams. Today, 102 Vande Bharat railway services are being operated across the country.’, said PM Modi.
Realizing the vision of Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Make in India’ and self-reliant India, the ultra-modern Vande Bharat Express will improve connectivity on three routes, Meerut-Lucknow, Madurai-Bengaluru and Chennai-Nagarcoil.
These Vande Bharat trains will reduce travel time compared to the currently running high-speed trains. Meerut City-Lucknow Vande Bharat will save about 1 hour, Chennai Egmore-Nagarcoil Vande Bharat will save 2 hours and Madurai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat will save one and a half hours in travel time.

The Prime Minister said that wherever Vande Bharat trains operate, tourism has increased, resulting in a boost to local businesses and creation of new employment opportunities. He said that rapid development of the southern states is very important to achieve the goal of developed India.
PM Modi said, ‘South India has immense talent, immense resources and opportunities. Development of the entire south, including Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, is the priority of our government. The development journey of railways in these states in the last 10 years is an example of this’.
He further said that in this year’s budget, we have given more than Rs 6 thousand crore railway budget to Tamil Nadu. This budget is more than 7 times compared to 2014. Similarly, a budget of more than 7 thousand crores has been allocated for Karnataka this time.
This budget is also 9 times more than 2014. Today, the people of UP and especially Western UP have also got good news through Vande Bharat train on Meerut-Lucknow route. Meerut and Western UP are the land of revolution. Today this region is witnessing a new revolution of development.
PM Modi Flags Off Three New Vande Bharat Express Trains It is noteworthy that these new Vande Bharat trains will provide world-class service to the people of the region to travel with speed and convenience and will fulfill the long-standing demand of the people of three states – Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The introduction of these Vande Bharat Express trains will launch a new standard of rail service to meet the needs of regular travelers, professionals, businessmen and student community.
