The mega membership campaign of Bharatiya Janata Party i.e. BJP is going on. This program has been named ‘Sangthan Parv Membership Campaign-2024’. Under the membership campaign started on 2 September, more than 2 crore members have been made in just 8 days. This is a great record in itself.
This information was given on Tuesday after a meeting held to review the progress of the party’s membership campaign. BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde said that on September 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the BJP’s national membership campaign by becoming the first member of the party.
On Tuesday, he told, party president JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah and Organization Minister BL Santosh reviewed the membership campaign by holding separate meetings with nine states at the party’s central office. State presidents, general secretaries, membership heads and membership team officials of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan participated in these meetings.
The party has given a target to every representative of BJP from its MP to Sarpanch under the membership campaign. The party runs a campaign to renew the membership of its existing members and to enroll new members every six years in accordance with its constitution.
The party’s target at present is to make more than 10 crore people members of BJP. This membership campaign will be run later in those states where elections have been announced. Due to which the total membership of the party will increase further later. According to BJP officials, during the tenure of former President Amit Shah as National President, 11 crore people had joined BJP in 2014-15. 7 crore people participated in the membership campaign run in the year 2019, that is, by 2019, about 18 crore people had become members of BJP.
