Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to fulfill another promise as he prepares to launch the Subhadra Yojana in Bhubaneswar on September 17. The scheme, announced in the BJP’s Sankalp Patra aims, to empower women in Odisha by providing them with financial assistance. Under this initiative, women between the ages of 21 and 60 will receive a sum of Rs 50,000, with the first installment being released by the Prime Minister at Janata Maidan on Tuesday.
The state government, administration and BJP workers have been working tirelessly to ensure the success of this program. Security arrangements have been put in place for the Prime Minister’s visit, which is expected to be significant event in the state. Prime Minister will launch ‘SUBHADRA’, the flagship Scheme of Government of Odisha, in Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar.
It is the largest, single women-centric scheme and is expected to cover more than 1 crore women. Under the scheme, all eligible beneficiaries between the age of 21-60 years would receive Rs 50,000 over a period of 5 years between 2024-25 to 2028-29. An amount of Rs 10,000 per annum in two equal instalments will be credited to the beneficiary’s Aadhaar-enabled and DBT-enabled bank account. Prime Minister would initiate the fund transfer into the bank accounts of more than 10 lakh women.
Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone and dedicate the nation Railway Projects worth more than Rs 2800 crores. PM Modi will release the 1st installment of assistance to nearly 10 lakh beneficiaries under PMAY-G of around 14 states. The Griha Pravesh celebrations for 26 lakh beneficiaries of PMAY (Gramin and Urban) from across the country will be held during the programme.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Phase-II of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project. He shared pictures on his X handle, showing him travelling in the metro and interacting with students. He was accompanied by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
