A large number of devotees are visiting Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham these days. In the 22 days of September, 1,45000 devotees have visited these two Dhams. As compared to the last year, this year, the number of devotees visiting Yamunotri Dham has increased significantly since the beginning of the Yatra period.
This year so far, more than six lakh devotees have visited Yamunotri Dham and Gangotri Dham. Due to clear weather, it is believed that the movement of devotees in these two Dhams may increase further in the coming days.

In view of this, the administration is paying special attention to increasing the arrangements related to the Yatra, improving roads and traffic management. According to the Yatra bulletin issued by the district administration, a total of 12372 devotees have reached Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham today.
A total of 6292 devotees have arrived at Yamunotri Dham today. With this, a total of 602364 devotees have arrived during the 136 days of this Yatra period. Whereas, last year, 503567 devotees had arrived in the Dham in 136 days of this Yatra period.
At the same time, 6080 devotees have reached Gangotri Dham today. With this, a total of 680950 devotees have arrived since the opening of the Dham in May. Whereas, last year from 10 May to 22 September, 619387 devotees had arrived in Gangotri Dham.
The increase in the number of devotees is clearly visible this year. This time, the crowd of devotees is thronging Yamunetri Dham from the beginning of the Yatra period. There is still one and a half months left for the Yatra to end. At the same time, the continuous increase in the number of devotees after the departure of monsoon shows that the number of devotees coming to Yamunetri and Gangotri Dham can touch new heights this time.
